Job summary

Skyjack Inc. in Canada is seeking an Intermediate Engineer to assist in planning and designing complex manufacturing processes within an industrial plant. You will collaborate with senior engineers to improve production methods, determine capacity, and set schedules while contributing to cross-functional teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or technology diploma in engineering, P.Eng. licensure, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Easytalk, and MasterCam, plus knowledge of GD&T

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or technology diploma in engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Licensing by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers is required to approve engineering drawings and reports and to practice as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Easytalk , and MasterCam ; understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning. Familiarity with statistical analysis and CAD/CAM software.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with manufacturing support staff to resolve tooling-related issues and investigate new manufacturing and tooling methods.
  • Assist in defining plant layout and ergonomic requirements and participate in Advance Quality Planning (AQP) activities.
  • Identify and resolve process scrap issues and support the implementation of changes in manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in introducing new products and processes, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain and update tool lists, setup instructions, and work instructions.
  • Support corrective action processes, FMEA development, and CAT activities to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.

Responsibility
