We leverage robotics and machine learning to enable visual artists to produce textured artwork made with real paint on canvas — at scale.
We are looking for a robotics engineer to enhance our robotic painting environment. As a key member of the engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in hardware and software development, as well as work with the leadership team to customize MVPs as we reach product market fit. Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the leadership team to define product requirements, timelines and milestones.
- Develop software for robotic operations, including global control algorithms, toolpath optimization, stroke generation, and error correction.
- Develop hardware components for the robotic environment, including new tools, mounting, and components for production automation projects.
- Assist the production team with order fulfillment.
- GSD.
What we are looking for
- An undergraduate degree and 1–2 years of experience in robotics, mechatronics, software, mechanical engineering or similar.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in designing, building, and deploying robotic systems for various applications.
- Experience in developing motion planning and path/contour following algorithms for collaborative robot arms.
- Strong programming skills in Python and object-oriented software development.
- Proficiency in completing detailed designs for parts and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Experience in conducting and documenting mechanical analyses, including hand calculations, or low-level testing.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements in AI and robotics through continuous learning and self-directed research.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
