Job summary

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. This role involves operating robotic welding equipment, developing welding programs, and advancing additive manufacturing procedures on a rotating day shift from 6AM-6PM (including weekends).

The ideal candidate has related robotic welding experience, familiarity with GMAW aluminum welding, and additive manufacturing software.

Qualifications

• Related work experience on robotic welding applications (recommended).
• Apprenticeship program (advanced) completed or in progress.
• Operating mechanized or robotic welding equipment experience.
• Welding aluminum with the GMAW process experience.
• Additive manufacturing software packages experience.
• Arc additive processes experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply basic welding principles, symbols, and blueprints.
• Assist the team in plant/department goals achievement.
• Check completed parts to ensure compliance with required standards.
• Create robotic welding programs and modify existing ones.
• Develop new additive manufacturing procedures.
• Finish parts with various hand tools.
• Identify/perform correct robotic welding parameters, procedures, and programs.
• Maintain/repair robotic and welding equipment.
• Make recommendations on general part designs.
• Operate/observe robots to detect malfunctions or nonconformance.
• Optimize laser/robotic welding parameters.
• Perform excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Perform MIG welding operations (simple to moderate).
• Study prints/instructions to review dimensions and tolerances.
• Use a measuring tape and variable gauges.
