Job Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience programming robots (Fanuc preferred)
• Knowledge and experience with lasers for thermal welding and/or cutting processes (Remote laser welding and laser brazing)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills and leadership capabilities
• Good understanding of robotic coordinate systems
• Working knowledge of communication protocols (Ethernet/IP and/or Profinet)
• Ability to delegate work and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work as a team member and individually
• Mechanical ability to work on robot dress packages and peripheral equipment
• Advanced knowledge of automated assembly equipment and processes
• Understanding of robot safety standards, familiar with CSA Z434 and RIA standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, basic 2D and 3D CAD (AutoCAD)
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set up robot and laser interface structures and programs
• Configure robot I/O, weld interface, and program calls
• Provide robotic support and training as required
• Support laser cell design and safety requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Assist sales department with initial concepts and equipment for new products
• Collaborate with Robotic Laser lead on projects, monitoring workload and deadlines
• Troubleshoot robotic laser issues
• Report and address safety hazards immediately
• Properly lockout all energy sources, including stored energy
• Follow all safety protocols and standards
• Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized work area to ensure safety and quality
• Report unusual circumstances and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Follow ISO Standard Operating Procedures to ensure quality products
• Perform other duties as required
