Job summary

Parkland County in Alberta is seeking a Manager, Road Maintenance to lead the road maintenance program, supervise field staff, and coordinate budgets and performance reporting. The role focuses on safety, service delivery, and collaborating with other departments to support integrated operations.

The ideal candidate will hold a Civil Engineering diploma with leadership training, CET designation, 5+ years of managing road maintenance and heavy equipment, and strong communication and computer

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field with leadership training.
• CET Designation (ASET) is required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in year-round road maintenance and heavy equipment operation.
• Formal leadership experience including supervision of union and non-union positions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to deliver exceptional service and timely issue resolution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, maintenance management systems, GPS, asset management and financial programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for road maintenance programs and oversee field staff.
• Coordinate maintenance programs, budget activities and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with other County departments to support integrated service delivery and maintain a strong safety culture.
