Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Montreal is seeking a Road Engineering Technician to perform 3D modeling of road structures, review compliance of designs, and prepare estimates. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in road infrastructure design, proficiency in relevant design software, and a college diploma in civil engineering. Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in road infrastructure design in Québec.
• Experience working on projects for Québec's Ministry of Transport.
• Ability to mentor junior staff.

Your role

• Perform computer-aided design (3D modeling) of road structures (geometry, earthworks, drainage, signage, etc.).
• Review drawings and pavement, marking, and signage plans to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Prepare quantity estimates.

About You

• Hold a college diploma (DEC) in civil engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in design software used in road engineering in Québec, such as OpenRoads Designer, PowerInroads, MicroStation, and Civil 3D.
• Demonstrate natural leadership to play an active role in project delivery and mentoring junior staff.
• Have previous experience working on projects for Québec's Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.
• Have at least 5 years of experience in road infrastructure design in Québec.
