Job summary

Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) seeks a Research Assistant in the Noncoding RNA Biology & Therapeutics Unit, under Dr. Martin Sauvageau.

You will participate in innovative projects on noncoding RNA structure-function and develop RNA-based therapeutics, while assisting the Research Director with lab organization and operations. This role emphasizes scientific rigor, collaboration, and clear documentation, with full-time hours and access to life and health insurance, holidays, vacation

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a life sciences field required.
• At least 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience.
• Expertise in mammalian cell culture and RNA-related techniques.
• Experience with RNA sequencing data analysis is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage mammalian cell culture experiments and RNA/protein assays.
• Analyze data and maintain detailed records.
• Assist in manuscript preparation and presentations.
• Support lab operations, including reagent prep and supply management.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory standards and protocols.
