Job summary

Fraser Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a specialty unit, rotating through areas and pursuing post-graduate specialty training as needed. You will work with an interprofessional team to deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with BC standards.

The role emphasizes empathy, patient advocacy, accurate documentation, and ongoing education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current BC registration and eligibility to practice in BC.
• Completion of relevant post-graduate specialty nursing courses/program.
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect information to plan and evaluate nursing care.
• Collaborate with patients and families to develop and modify care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and coordinate with the interprofessional team.
• Delegate tasks to support staff and coordinate nursing care.
• Educate patients and families on health care and self-care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes according to Fraser Health standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement and participate in committees as assigned.
