Job summary

University Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for West Park Healthcare Centre, Long Term Ventilation 4D. The role focuses on promoting health, assessing needs, and delivering comprehensive nursing care for older adults with dementia.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing; Baccalaureate degree preferred.
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Ability to perform essential nursing duties and lead others.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, evaluate and coordinate comprehensive professional nursing care.
• Plan and implement care for patients with dementia and their families.
• Educate patients and families regarding dementia care.
• Participate in inter-professional team care planning forums and rounds.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to students and new staff on the unit.
• Engage in hospital-wide initiatives and professional development.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital policies.
