Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to collaborate with the Director of Care in delivering safe and ethical nursing services to residents. The RN will ensure quality care, promote teamwork, and uphold AgeCare's guiding principles of respect and quality of life for seniors.

The position offers a relocation bonus up to $10,000 and opportunities in rural and select urban communities in British Columbia, with a compensation package including health benefits and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in applicable province/state (British Columbia preferred).
• Experience working with seniors and unregulated care providers.
• Must possess strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management and customer focus.
• Must delegate to unregulated care providers and maintain competencies per governing College standards.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Complete and ensure resident care assessments, service plans and documentation are up to date.
• Assist with scheduling residents' care conferences and participate in conferences.
• Work closely with DOC to facilitate move-ins and transfers.
• Order and safe-keep drugs and administer per regulatory requirements.
• Provide resident/family education and supervise medication administration to unregulated providers.
• Plan and evaluate the resident’s care plan with the care team and contracted providers.
• Coordinate nursing team's resident care assignments for timely service delivery.

Education

Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care
