Job summary

AgeCare is hiring a Registered Nurse to collaborate with the Director of Care in delivering high-quality, person-centered care to residents. This role supports safe, ethical nursing practices, promotes teamwork, and fosters a culture aligned with our mission and guiding principles across communities in BC.

You will manage care plans, coordinate with the care team, and ensure documentation and education for residents and families, while also supporting medication administration and regulatory

Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse in the applicable Province/State.
  • Experience with seniors and unregulated care providers.
  • Gerontology, rehabilitation, community/long-term care experience is an asset.
  • Strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management, customer focus.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and update residents’ care assessments and service plans; notify DOC of changes for billing.
  • Assist with scheduling residents’ care conferences and participate in them.
  • Coordinate nursing care with physicians, interdisciplinary team, and contracted providers.
  • Order, safeguard, and administer medications in compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Educate residents and families; supervise unregulated care providers as appropriate.

Conditions may apply; please contact us for details.The OpportunityThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible to the Director of Care collaborating on the delivery of resident care to meet individual needs within his/her level of competency. They will integrate and apply the knowledge, skills, judgment, and interpersonal attributes required to provide safe and ethical professional nursing services to residents.The RN provides quality and safe resident care. The RN promotes teamwork and a culture that supports AgeCare Mission, Vision and Guiding Principles of Respect, Teamwork, Quality and encourages practices that respect resident, family and staff rights, individuality, and diversity. The RN promotes health and safety awareness in the workplace.
