Clearpoint Health Network Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the new Still Creek Surgical Centre in Burnaby, BC. The position is casual with potential to move to part-time or full-time, offering wages of $60/hr.

Position:

Casual with possibility to work part-time or full-time.

Benefits working at Still Creek Surgical Centre:

• Wages $60/hr.

Minimum Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program combined with 2 – 3 years’ recent experience in an acute careOperating Room.
• Active/eligible for registration and practice permit with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals.
• Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) perioperative nursing certification/Completion of a post-secondary educational institution perioperative nursing program/Equivalent in education and experience.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary team of care providers, with emphasis on assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of patient health.

Physical Requirements:

• The work environment is physically demanding and may require different levels of physical exertion, such as lifting and transferring patients.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull more than 25 pounds.
• There is a lot of above shoulder requirements for prepping and positioning patients.
• At times, RNs may work in challenging and stressful circumstances, such as in an emergency situation.
• During the course of their work RNs may be exposed to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, chemicals and other safety hazards.
