Job summary

Revelstoke Mountain Resort, part of Northland Properties, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for night snow removal. You will operate front-end loaders, excavators, skid steers, graders and related gear to keep the resort safe and accessible.

This is a night shift, on-call position with transportation to the resort. Candidates must have at least 3 years of operator experience, a valid BC driver’s license, and be eligible to work in Canada; a flexible schedule is required to cover evenings,

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in Canada and provide SIN.
• Must currently live in Revelstoke or relocate there.
• Minimum of 3 years operator experience.
• Air Brakes preferred.
• Must have a valid BC Driver’s License (driver’s abstract required).
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be prepared to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to operate around moving mechanical parts and electrical current.

Heavy Equipment Operator - Snow Removal

Job Description:

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment primarily at night in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include front-end loaders, excavators, skid steers, graders, and other pieces of equipment.

This is a snow removal position – hours will vary based on weather and shifts are usually night shift & on call. Will need suitable transportation to get to the resort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating heavy equipment in a safe, proficient and timely manner.
• Basic daily maintenance of operating equipment.
• Convey any maintenance concerns to the Equipment Supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

• Must be eligible to work in Canada - can provide work permit & SIN.
• Must currently live in or have already relocated to Revelstoke.
• A minimum of 3 years operator experience.
• Air Brakes preferred.
• Must have a valid BC Driver’s License (Driver’s abstract required.)
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must have the attention span to maintain constant focus on tasks.
• Must be able to work in potentially hazardous environment with exposure to variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts and electrical current.
• Must be prepared to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
