Who We Are Looking For

State Street offers a full-service Market, Liquidity and ESG Risk measurement solution for sophisticated institutions within the financial markets.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Risk Solutions, you will use your interests/curiosity in risk management, regulations, and data analytics to build new market risk solutions. You will collaborate with client service, financial engineering, and technical support teams to design model specifications. Your experience in model development and market risk management at asset management or sell-side institutions will help enhance our existing risk solutions. You will be involved in the entire model development lifecycle, from data analysis to prototyping, testing, documentation, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Incorporate advanced risk and financial functionalities into liquidity risk management capabilities.
2. Bridge theoretical research, industry best practices, and evolving industry thought to develop scalable risk solutions.
3. Provide specifications and prototypes for new risk analytics functionalities.
4. Conduct research on risk models and analytics.
5. Identify data requirements and collaborate with data teams on sourcing and mapping data.

Desired Skills and Qualities

• Ability to explain quantitative concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with regulatory risk requirements is a plus.
• Client-facing experience and strong interpersonal skills are advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields, demonstrating strong quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python; SQL experience is desirable.
• 2-3 years of experience in risk measurement and management.
• Professional certifications like FRM or CFA are a plus.
• Knowledge of financial products and data.
