Job summary

Amyantek is seeking a UNIX Midrange Support specialist to handle daily administration, management, and support of the UNIX environment from onsite Regina, SK. The role requires experience with midrange server configuration and Linux/AIX, with desirable SAN/NAS storage exposure and Azure Linux host/storage familiarity.

Education should include a Computer Science/Engineering degree or equivalent, plus a track record of continuous improvement and ITIL certification.

Qualifications

• Midrange server configuration and administration (Linux/AIX).
• Desirable: SAN/NAS storage experience (IBM SVC, NetApp).
• Azure Linux host and storage experience preferred.

NOTE: There is a potential for overtime work depending on requirements however it is not guaranteed. Candidate may be asked to change work hours to be outside of normal business hours, but not usually to exceed 40 hours in one week

Position

The UNIX Midrange Support provides for the day-to-day administration, management, and support of the UNIX environment

Mandatory Experience

• Midrange Server configuration and administration (Linux/AIX)

Desired Experience

• SAN/NAS Storage experience (IBM SVC, NetApp)


• Azure Linux host and storage experience

Education & Certifications

• Computer Engineering / Computer Science degree or equivalent experience preferred.
