Job summary

City of Edmonton’s Reuse Centre seeks Attendants to manage donated items, keep a safe, welcoming store, and assist residents and volunteers. You will collect, sort, and display items while educating the public about reuse programs.

Role requires Grade 12 or certificate, 2+ years in customer service or retail, and ability to work in a team with safety training (WHMIS). Casual, up to 25 hours/week, with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with emphasis on general office practices or an approved certificate program.
• 2+ years of customer service or retail experience.
• Warehouse and/or labour experience.
• Knowledge of City of Edmonton's Waste Management programs and services.

Responsibilities

• Transfer donated items from the drop-off area to the store area and organize displays.
• Screen and sort donated materials for safety and cleanliness.
• Educate patrons on reuse and community initiatives.
• Assist with public programming and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain clean, safe storage and merchandising areas.
