Placements24 is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Retail Visual Merchandising Assistant to support the visual merchandising team in Kimberley, Northern Cape. This hybrid role involves hands-on display work and collaborative planning sessions to enhance the store’s aesthetics and drive customer engagement.

You will help create and maintain in-store displays, window presentations, and product layouts according to brand guidelines, while ensuring displays are clean and compliant with safety

Qualifications

• Previous experience or formal training in visual merchandising, art, design, or a related field is beneficial.
• Strong sense of style, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of visual merchandising principles and retail display techniques.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift moderately heavy items, and use tools as needed.
• Flexibility to work various hours, including some weekends, to meet project deadlines.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and take direction.
• Familiarity with retail environments is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate in Visual Merchandising or Design is advantageous.
