Job summary

Instant Comptant, based in Québec, QC, is seeking a capable supervisor for a permanent, full-time retail role. The position requires leadership to assign duties, hire and train staff, and manage merchandise and cash, while maintaining organization and high service standards.

The ideal candidate speaks fluent French, has a high school diploma or equivalent, and can supervise a small team of 3–4 people. The work environment is retail, with on-site responsibilities and a focus on customer service

Qualifications

• Fluent in French and able to communicate clearly in writing and speaking.
• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Experience supervising a small team is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and assign duties to sales workers.
• Hire and train or arrange for staff training.
• Order merchandise and manage inventory.
• Sell merchandise and handle customer requests and complaints.
• Resolve supply shortages and other issues.
• Maintain cash handling and financial accuracy.
• Ensure operations run with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate activities of workers and keep a well-organized workspace.
