Job summary

Mosaic Sales Solutions Canada Operating Co. is seeking a part-time Sales and Merchandising Representative in Victoria, BC, to execute in-store programs across grocery and mass channels.

You will handle direct sales, upselling, promotions, and POS placement while maintaining strong client relationships across all serviced stores. Ideal candidates have grocery experience, are highly organized, and can work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Sales experience in consumer goods or retail sales is essential.
• Grocery and mass retail channel experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and exclusive vehicle access are required.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with territory planning and store calls.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to field requirements.
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assertive selling and in-store execution of weekly program priorities.
• Negotiate, upsell, and build displays and POS material.
• Coordinate promotions and ensure planogram compliance.
• Call for orders, arrange in-line orders, and support retailer programs.
• Develop relationships with key retail contacts; deliver retail coverage per plan.
• Maintain call reports, track activities, and communicate updates.
• Travel as needed, including overnight stays.
• Drive distribution of core items and new innovations.

Part-time

We are currently recruiting a results-oriented Sales and Merchandising Representative to represent our clients.

This role offers you the unique opportunity to utilize your retail sales experience more strategically through the development of direct sales, merchandising, and POS placement.

As a member of Mosaic's Campbells, B&G and Coke Nutritional Beverage (SHARED) sales team, you will be responsible for the in-store execution of weekly program priorities across grocery and mass channels. These tasks include Direct Sales, Upselling, Negotiating & Building Display, Merchandising, Promotions, tablet reporting as well as maintaining the role as key contact for our clients across all serviced stores in the defined territory. Candidates ideally will have grocery experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assertive selling.
• Superior execution of core program fundamentals such as Sales, negotiating & building display, POP material, distribution of innovation & planogram compliance.
• Negotiate Sales - selling in, call for orders, in-line orders, and incremental retailer support for promotional programs.
• Displays - negotiating and building displays on every other visit to each store.
• Develop a positive working relationship with all key retail contacts.
• Execute and deliver retail coverage as per plan for efficient and effective call frequency and length.
• Resolve or escalation store-level issues exhibiting a sense of urgency and professionalism.
• Drive distribution on core items and New Innovation, sales, and share objectives.
• Possible overnight or daily travel

QUALIFICATIONS

• Sales experience
• Retail Channel experience in grocery & mass preferred but not mandatory
• Must have a valid driver's license and exclusive access to a vehicle
• Available to work on weekdays, 8am-5pm
• Highly effective verbal communication skills and the ability to develop rapport and credibility
• Effective presentation-selling skills and objection-handling techniques
• Effective Knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel
• Experienced in territory management
• Must be willing to travel (Pending territory some overnight)
• Organized, flexible with the ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Daily access to Internet and email - able to complete administrative tasks including tracking, submitting call reports, checking email regularly for new product info, updates
• Must have a computer/laptop and printer/scanner with home internet
• Must be able to lift up to 30lbs
• Must be able to store POS at home location
