Job Description:
The Retail Representative within an assigned territory is responsible for managing assigned customers. Key responsibilities include building relationships, selling, distribution, and merchandising.
Location: The primary location for this position will be Guelph and surrounding towns.
What are we looking for?
- High school graduate.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Previous sales experience is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Selling and Distribution:
- Suggesting orders and selling presentation programs to customers.
- Presenting and selling booking sheets to stores.
- Maintaining distribution of assigned products.
- Selling new innovations.
- Ensuring promotional and seasonal compliance within retail outlets.
Merchandising Excellence:
- Ensuring shelves are stocked with all listed products.
- Refilling merchandiser fixtures and working with customers to secure secondary display space.
- Utilizing POS for effective merchandising and pricing.
- Rotating products on-shelf and in the backroom to ensure quality and freshness.
Data Collection/Integrity:
- Maintaining accurate data through hand-held technology as per business requirements.
Call Coverage:
- Managing territory coverage efficiently and effectively.
- Planning and organizing route schedules according to company models.
- Adhering to time allocations based on segment priorities.
Communication and Administration:
- Keeping the DSM updated on territory activities.
- Maintaining stock of merchandising supplies and POS materials.
- Following company policies on time, expenses, waste, and mileage.
- Processing credits and samples according to procedures.
- Understanding and acting on communications and priorities.
Special Projects and Other Duties:
- Supporting special projects as assigned.
- Performing other duties as required, including engagement action planning and communication with the sales organization.
