Job Description:

The Retail Representative within an assigned territory is responsible for managing assigned customers. Key responsibilities include building relationships, selling, distribution, and merchandising.

Primary Location: Guelph and surrounding towns

What are we looking for?

• High school graduate
• Experience in a customer-facing role
• Previous sales experience (asset)
• Valid driver’s license
• Good communication and presentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

Selling and Distribution:

• Suggest orders and present selling programs to customers
• Present and sell booking sheets to stores
• Maintain distribution of assigned products
• Sell new innovations
• Ensure promotional and seasonal compliance within retail outlets

Merchandising Excellence:

• Stock shelves with all listed products
• Refill merchandiser fixtures and work with customers to secure secondary display space
• Utilize POS for effective merchandising and pricing
• Rotate products on-shelf and in backroom for quality and freshness

Data Collection/Integrity:

• Maintain accurate data using hand-held technology as per business requirements

Call Coverage:

• Manage territory efficiently, planning routes according to company models
• Adhere to call frequency and time allocations based on priorities

Communication and Administration:

• Keep DSM updated on territory activities
• Maintain stock of merchandising supplies and POS materials
• Follow company policies on time, expenses, waste, and mileage
• Process credits and samples as per procedures
• Understand and follow communications and priorities

Special Projects:

• Support sales team projects as assigned

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform other duties as assigned, including engagement action planning and communication with sales organization
