Job summary

Purolator Inc. is seeking a Retail Representative Float for Edmonton (West-End) based at the Edmonton North Depot. The role involves serving customers by phone and in person, upselling corporate products, handling inquiries, resolving shipments and tech issues, and collaborating with head office and drivers.

Working hours are Monday to Saturday with 27.5 hours per week; wage is $26.36 per hour. This on-site position offers a competitive salary and benefits package as part of Purolator's customer

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–12 months in customer service preferred.
• Retail experience 3–12 months preferred.
• 3–12 months experience with POS systems preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Professional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work with technology and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers over the phone and in person in a courteous manner.
• Upsell and cross-sell corporate products and services.
• Handle complaints and inquiries with problem-solving.
• Resolve shipment and equipment/technology issues.
• Coordinate with Head Office, drivers, and warehousing to ensure service excellence.

Job Details

Location: Based out of Edmonton North Depot - 17718 114 Avenue NW, but may be required to cover other freestanding locations

Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, varying shifts. 27.5 hours per week

Description

• Serving our customers in the most efficient and courteous manner on the telephone and in person Up-selling and cross selling Corporate Products and Services
• Handling customer complaints and inquiries Problem Solving
• Working to resolve problem shipments
• Working to resolve equipment and technology challenges
• Working with Head Office, local management, Drivers, warehousing staff, account managers and other Corporate partners to ensure excellence in customer service
• Relationship Building
• Building a positive relationship with Head Office, local management, Drivers, Warehousing staff, account managers and other Corporate Partners
• Building a positive relationship with customers
• Building a positive relationship with key contacts – Vendors, building tenants, etc.
• Technology Assisting customers with shipping details and account challenges
• Loading, scanning, logging and calling resolution freight
• Cash reconciliation including deposits, key control
• Communication

Responsibilities

• Communicating in a positive manner with Head Office, local management, Drivers, warehousing staff, account managers and other Corporate partners orally and in writing Listening to customers and key partners Communicating to customers and key partners in a positive manner

• Written communication; and listening skills
• Proven track record of personal responsibility and accountability- including attendance, uniform compliance and attention to detail Experience working in a team environment and independently an asset
