Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Alberta is seeking a Retail & Processing Assistant Store Manager for Southpark in Edmonton. The role is full-time with salaried hours up to 37.5 per week and requires weekday, evening, and weekend availability.

You will oversee store operations in the absence of the Store Manager, manage staff scheduling and timecards, and coach a diverse team to deliver outstanding customer service while driving store performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Related post-secondary education is an asset.
• Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• A class 5 Driver’s License.
• Experience in staff recruitment, training and performance management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with customers as required.
• Manage customer concerns, complaints and compliments and develop improvement plans with the Retail and Processing Manager.
• Monitor and support all store positions and functions.
• Assist the Store Manager with scheduling and approval of timecards.
• Train team members in all aspects of a job including paperwork and documentation.
• Supervise staff; provide encouragement and coaching as needed.
• Ensure timely performance reviews.
• Be flexible to move to other areas/locations as needed to perform duties.
• Oversee store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
