Job summary

Marketsupport Canada is seeking a TEMPORARY Retail Merchandiser to service the Stellarton/Truro/Antigonish territory on a flexible, part-time basis. You will travel to local retailers, take photos, and provide feedback through our reporting App while building relationships with store staff.

Ideal candidates are smartphone or tablet and laptop users, with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, and are comfortable promoting and replenishing products.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work during business hours M-F.
• Must be able to manage a small local territory and complete assignments.
• Comfortable discussing, promoting and selling additional products.
• Must have access to a smartphone or tablet and home computer with Wi-Fi.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable automobile.
• Retail merchandising experience is a plus.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various local retailers to perform merchandising assignments.
• Take pictures and provide feedback through our reporting App.
• Complete all scheduled assignments efficiently, accurately and on time.
• Coordinate and map out territory based on deadlines and efficiency.

• Travel to various local retailers (grocery, drug, big box, home, hardware, gas, convenience) to perform merchandising assignments for nationally recognized brands.
• Take pictures and provide detailed and constructive feedback through our reporting App.
• Complete all scheduled assignments efficiently, accurately and on time.
• Coordinate and map out your territory based on deadlines and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

• Available to work during business hours M-F
• Ability to manage a small local territory and dedicated to completing all assignments.
• Can roll with the punches and handle a diversity of tasks to complete.
• Comfortable discussing, promoting and selling additional products.
• Comfortable speaking with managers to replenish and place orders for specific Clients
• Smart phone/ computer savvy.
• Self-motivated, independent worker and a problem solver.
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor and the ability to build positive relationships.

Requirements for the position:

• Access to smartphone or tablet (Android/ Apple) and home computer with Wi-Fi.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable automobile.
• May be required to lift 15lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs.
• May occasionally require steel toe shoes.
• Retail merchandising experience is a plus.
• This position requires travel to various retail locations (kilometer package as part of compensation).
• Are you at least 18 years of age?
