What you"ll do
Customer Service
- Work alongside your team of retail sales associates, personally serving customers in-store at a high proficiency level.
- Attempt to resolve all customer concerns before escalating them to the General Operations Manager.
- Be a role model for customer-focused service by providing exceptional in-store experience and using your people-skills to build lasting customer relationships.
Team Building
- Participate in recruitment, coaching, and onboarding activities alongside the General Operations Manager.
- Train retail sales associates in products, procedures, and technology (software and hardware).
- Recognize team members for their contributions and be a cheerleader for the workplace culture you want to have.
- Collaborate with and support supervisors and managers in other departments.
- Open and / or close the retail store and ensure expected procedures are followed.
- Support the General Operations Manager in overseeing daily retail store operations including delegating tasks to and holding sales associates accountable for their duties, ensuring the store meets merchandising standards, and identifying opportunities to improve procedures and enhance the customer experience.
- Approve returns / refunds and assist with reconciliation of cash deposits and customer-present transactions as required.
- Create a safety-focused worksite culture that rewards safe behaviour. Proactively manage hazards and enforce compliance with safety procedures and training.
Advanced Knowledge
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of all company products, services, and promotions and become a subject matter expert in one or more areas.
- Become competent in essential order management activities including order entry and return processes, third party billing, and equipment rental management.
- Become competent in cross-departmental operations to support troubleshooting at any stage of the order management and customer lifecycles.

Skills & Requirements :

- High school diploma required, post-secondary education is an asset
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role strongly preferred
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to collaborate on and motivate a team
- Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to independently prioritize and delegate tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to learn and teach others
- Strong mediation and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong working knowledge of computer systems (Microsoft and Google Suites, ERP) and ability to learn new technology
- Ability to safely meet the physical requirements of the job (lift up to 50lbs, push / pull up to 100 lbs on a cart)
- Valid Standard First Aid certificate is an asset
