Job summary

Calgary Stampede is seeking outgoing Line Cooks to join our Retail Food & Beverage team. These casual-part-time positions require flexibility across weekdays and weekends to support multiple food and beverage outlets during the Stampede events and year-round activities.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ year of cooking experience in fast-paced environments, a positive and energetic attitude, and a commitment to teamwork. Food safety training is essential to help maintain our high standards.

Qualifications

• Full-line restaurant and/or fast-food cooking experience of 1 year or more.
• Must be positive, energetic and a team player.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures is an asset; Alberta Health Services Food Safe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in a prompt, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Organize, prepare, and cook food using grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Ensure food is presentable, appetizing, and served quickly and safely.

Position Summary

We are looking for outgoing, enthusiastic people to join our Retail Food & Beverage team in the position of Line Cook to support a variety of the Stampede's F&B outlets.

These positions are casual-part-time positions that will require the successful candidates to work flexible hours throughout the week and on weekends.

We are hiring for multiple positions under this requisition.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Providing excellent customer service in a prompt, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Organizing, preparing, and cooking quality food products using grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Ensuring food is presentable, appetizing, and served quickly and efficiently.
• Maintaining chilled, frozen, and hot food items in a manner that complies with all AHS Standards.
• Rotating of food stock to maintain freshness.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have worked in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities and will hold the following qualifications:

• Exceptional customer service skills are required.
• Full-line restaurant and/or fast-food cooking experience of 1 year or more is required.
• Must be positive, energetic, and a team player.
• Must be able to perform duties that require physical lifting, repetitive movements and standing or walking for long periods of time.
• Ability to work well and thrive under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures is an asset.
• Alberta Health Services Food Safe Certification.
