Job summary

Circle K Stores Inc. is seeking a construction project manager to lead tenant improvement projects for retail locations. The role involves coordinating resources, schedules, and contractors to meet project specs and budgets.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, 1–3 years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills. Travel may be required, and proficiency with MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience or PMP certification.
• 1-3 years of experience in tenant improvement construction in retail environment.
• Management experience in leading and directing capital design and construction initiatives.
• Knowledgeable in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing.
• Must be able to travel, on short notice or extended periods.
• Must be computer literate. Excellent communication and organizational skills needed.
• Must be computer literate in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop and achieve ideal plan specs with the project team.
• Plan construction requirements by deploying company resources and coordinating information.
• Meet construction schedules by hiring and managing general contractors and subcontractors.
• Negotiate contractor rates and monitor costs.
• Complete pre-construction and closing inspections including a detailed punch-list.
• Enforce building codes and company procedures, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Document and communicate actions and needs across teams.
• Develop schedules, assign work, and monitor productivity.
• Visit stores weekly as instructed by the supervisor.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships and drive efficiencies.
