Job summary

Belleville's Watering Hole & Diner in Victoria, BC is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily restaurant activities, optimize budgets, and supervise staff across front and back of house.

You will develop budgets, plan operations, ensure health and safety compliance, manage supplier relations, handle client catering, and drive exceptional customer service while maintaining cost controls.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required for the role.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities essential.
• Proven reliability in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
• Evaluate daily operations
• Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
• Monitor staff performance
• Plan and organize daily operations
• Supervise staff
• Train staff
• Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
• Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
• Conduct performance reviews
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
• Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Provide customer service
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
