Job summary

A&W Restaurants in Vernon, BC, is seeking a Restaurant Manager to start immediately at our Fruit Union location. The role leads all restaurant operations, ensuring quality customer experience and adherence to standards at a high-volume site.

You will develop a motivated team, manage scheduling, costs, and compliance, and drive growth and profitability while upholding health and safety standards. Excellent leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with supervisory experience.
• Expertise in all restaurant positions and operating systems.
• Thorough knowledge of standard Restaurant Operating Systems and Standards.
• Strong ability and interest in developing others.
• Ability to complete accounting tasks and manage administrative responsibilities.
• FOODSAFE Level 1 required; Level 2 preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training an asset.
• Proficiency in POS systems, Windows 11, and Microsoft 365 Business.

Responsibilities

• Balance goals including food quality, speed of service, guest experience, and cost control.
• Oversee P&L performance including cost of goods, labour costs, and expenses.
• Maintain operational standards and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and employment regulations.
• Develop staff scheduling to meet targets and support operations.
• Maintain equipment and facilities in working condition and coordinate repairs.
• Foster a positive workplace environment and team morale.
• Enforce health and safety standards and food safety requirements.
