Job description

Position Overview

Reporting to the District Manager, the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) is responsible for managing the daily operations of a single restaurant (15-25 employees) while ensuring the delivery of quality food and guest satisfaction. The RGM is accountable for maximizing sales and profitability while maintaining brand standards and implementing corporate policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  1. Directs efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products to maximize customer satisfaction.
  2. Motivates and directs team members to provide an exceptional customer experience.
  3. Maintains a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others.
  4. Provides coaching and feedback to the restaurant team.
  5. Ensures preventive maintenance of restaurant facility and equipment is completed by company standards.
  6. Assumes full responsibility for restaurant profit and loss management by implementing marketing strategies and following cash control/security procedures.
  7. Maintains inventory, manages labour, and analyzes financial reports to enhance restaurant results.
  8. Enforces compliance with government regulations, company policies, employment laws, food safety, security, and operations.
  9. Leads restaurant management team in recruiting, selecting, hiring, and retaining effective team talent.
  10. Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  11. Demonstrates strong math and Windows-based computer literacy.
  12. Demonstrates leadership and development skills.
  13. Identifies and solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
Qualifications
  1. Prioritizes and organizes own and others’ work and time to meet deadlines and objectives.
  2. Persuades and motivates restaurant employees.
  3. Interprets customer needs and assesses requirements.
  4. Able to identify solutions to non-routine requests.
  5. Manages the restaurant budget and sets guidelines for operating within that budget.
  6. Contributes to achievement of team goals; promotes teamwork.
