Strides Toronto is hiring two part-time Respite Workers to provide time-limited support for children and youth up to 18 years in URS partnerships. Roles require weekday evenings and Saturday availability, with respite in home, community, or designated sites.
Contract positions focus on safety, skill-building, and rapid response to risk. Candidates should hold CYW/DSW or related diploma and have ABA/OASI knowledge and anti-oppression awareness. Police check required.
Hours of Work per week –Up to 24
Salary range: $25.64 to $29.86 per hour

Strides Toronto Support Services (“Strides Toronto”) Strides Toronto is a multi-service agency supporting infants, children, youth and young adults from birth to age 29, and their families, primarily across east Toronto. We offer community-based, residential and treatment programs—including mental health counselling, autism services, early intervention, day treatment, education, outreach and community support—using a client-centered, evidence-informed approach. Since 2015, Strides Toronto has served as Toronto’s Lead Agency for Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health, partnering with 21 core service providers to provide system leadership, citywide planning, coordinated service delivery and program alignment. Strides Toronto also leads initiatives with broader reach, including Help Ahead and the HOPE Strategy across Toronto and One Stop Talk / Parlons Maintenant and the Provincial Youth Outreach Worker Program across Ontario.
This is an existing vacancy for two (2) part-time contract Respite Worker positions. The Respite Worker works in partnership with the family and Urgent Response Service (URS) team to provide time-limited (up to 12 weeks) respite and supports intended to respond rapidly to a specific need for children and youth up to 18 years of age and registered in the OAP to prevent further escalation of risk of harm to self, others and/ or property.
The Respite Worker will provide planned respite, the respite can be in the home, community, or in a designated program, or at an organization’s site.
This role requires availability on weekday evenings and Saturdays.
