Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Lethbridge, Alberta, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist I to contribute to a collaborative, multi-unit hospital environment at Chinook Regional Hospital. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and monitor progress across ICU, NICU and other units.

As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will assess patients (clients, resident), develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor their progress. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes. Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CRTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current BLS HCP certification. Recent acute/critical care experience (within 5 years). Ability to work 11.08 hour day/night rotations. Ability to work in all areas of the hospital that RT supports. Strong communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current NRP certification. Recent neonatal ventilation experience. Current PALS and ACLS Certification. Competency in arterial line insertion, adult intubation, and POCUS for art line insertion. Preceptorship/mentorship training. Related bachelor’s or master's degree. Connect Care experience.
