Job description

We are seeking caring and compassionate Respiratory Technicians to join our healthcare team. If you are conscientious, well-organized, and committed to the care and well-being of others, this is a rewarding opportunity!

In accordance with the organization’s vision and values, the Respiratory Therapist practices according to the standards of the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and within a client- and family-centered care model. Responsibilities include providing ongoing respiratory care in a multidisciplinary setting to clients with various illnesses, including acute and chronic cardio-respiratory conditions. The role involves working independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, enhancing quality of life for clients and families, and maintaining clinical competence. Participation in committees, teams, and research projects is also expected.

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work:

Days, Evenings - 06:00 to 18:00, 14:00 to 01:00 rotating

Dawson Creek & District Hospital

This 50-bed hospital offers inpatient care, emergency services, respiratory therapy, rehab, surgery, obstetrics & gynecology, lab, medical imaging, and cancer care. It is the northeastern BC orthopedic and trauma center, with visiting specialists in urology, dermatology, and pediatrics.
