The Workforce Optimization (Resource Management) team is an integral part of KPMG’s National Audit Operations Team, focusing on centralization, standardization, and automation to support audit engagement teams. Workforce Optimization aims to standardize and optimize resources for our firm, clients, and staff.

The Technology Manager for Workforce Optimization supports business application tools related to resource management, accreditation, Audit Quality Controls, capacity management, and key metrics. This role involves collaboration with IT, the Department of Professional Practice, end-users, and provides expert-level support to maximize tool utilization.

This highly visible role requires a blend of technical skills and leadership to drive tool execution. Creativity, questioning, and challenging the status quo are essential.

What You Will Do
  • Build reports integrating tools like eQualify, GLMS, Retain, CEAC.
  • Coordinate and develop User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison among end-users, IT, Professional Practice, and project teams.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to processes and data flows.
  • Suggest procedural and documentation enhancements, ensuring compliance.
  • Participate in new system implementations, analyzing requirements and advising on options.
  • Maintain Audit Workforce Tools, manage statements of work, and follow up on issues.
  • Identify pain points, improve processes, and support documentation efforts.
  • Provide first-level support for Workforce Tools, escalate issues, and follow up.
  • Administer applications, manage permissions, and generate reports.
  • Contribute feedback and prioritize enhancements.
  • Problem-solve complex issues and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with RPA team on process development and improvements.
  • Build strong relationships and communicate proactively across teams.
  • Utilize data skills, including PowerBI, for report development and execution.
What You Bring To The Role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical proficiency in Excel and PowerBI.
  • Experience in UAT/QA Testing.
  • Ability to lead requirement walkthroughs with stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range and Benefits

The base salary range is $73,000 to $109,500, with potential bonuses. Salary is determined based on location, skills, and qualifications. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
