Job summary

EY Canada is seeking a Supervising Associate in Resource Management to support deployment, development, and capacity planning of Consulting staff. You will work with RM Leads to optimize staffing and scheduling, ensuring projects are staffed with appropriate talent and skill sets.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience in staffing professional services, and the ability to analyze data to forecast resources and utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience staffing consulting professionals or roles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in other Microsoft applications.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French-language skills are an asset.
• Demonstrated commitment to client service and the ability to resolve issues promptly.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and confident working independently.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Three to five years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in a professional services firm is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment, development, and capacity management of Consulting client-serving professionals.
• Provide reporting requirements to effectively deploy professionals and provide meaningful career experiences.
• Receive regular supervision to set priorities.
• Assist in creating/maintaining accurate personnel and client project schedules.
• Proactively identify resources that will become available in the short term (2–3 weeks).
• Monitor and highlight unassigned resources to minimize idle time.
• Communicate staffing status and changes to RM leaders and team.
• Coach/mentor counselees/direct reports when assigned.
