Strive Living Society in North Vancouver is seeking a Specialized Child and Youth Support Worker to join our 2:1 residence team. You will provide person-centered care to neurodiverse youth, implementing safety and behavior plans while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.

The role requires de-escalation and trauma-informed practice, with responsibilities including documentation, daily living supports, and community transport.

Qualifications

• De-escalation techniques and crisis management skills are essential.
• Trauma-informed approach to supporting neurodiverse individuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English required.
• Criminal record clearance and background checks are mandatory.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required or will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary support to individuals as part of a care team.
• Implement safety and behavior support plans.
• Document daily logs, incident reports, and communications with the care team.
• Assist with meals, medication administration, personal care, and life skills.
• Transport youth to community activities and appointments as needed.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to program development.
