The Gentlemen Pros in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to join our residential service team. You will perform installations, repairs, and upgrades, troubleshoot with confidence, and clearly explain solutions so customers feel informed and at ease.

With mentorship from seasoned pros and full office support behind you, you can focus on doing great work—not paperwork. You will supply your own tools and ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code and local safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial electrical services.
• Provincial Journeyman Electrician certification is required.
• Excellent customer service and clear communication to explain repair options.

Responsibilities

• Identify faults in home wiring, tripped breakers, and power failures using multimeters and diagnostic tools.
• Safely fix or replace damaged switches, receptacles, lighting fixtures, and circuit breaker panels.
• Conduct electrical safety walkthroughs for home sales, renovations, or insurance evaluations to identify fire hazards and outdated wiring.
• Ensure all residential installations adhere to the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) or regional building regulations.
• Inspect and maintain existing electrical systems.
• Provide preliminary planning, sketches, and estimates for installation, repair, upgrade, and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Ensure electrical systems in residential buildings comply with local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Communication with the customer, supplier, and technical support, and other trade staff in order to successfully complete task.
• Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Employees are expected to supply their own tools required for daily job duties.
