Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Toronto to ensure buildings meet safety and quality standards. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and support make-ready processes to prepare units for leasing.

The role requires knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, and HVAC, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and resident service. It offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or related experience and/or training.
  • 1+ year of maintenance or related experience.
  • Exposure to multi-residential industry is a plus.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.
  • Safety-minded with ability to read and follow codes.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
  • Perform make-ready tasks for vacant units and scheduling as needed.
  • Manage materials and inventory, track usage, and re-order supplies.
  • Document service requests accurately for tracking.
  • Maintain grounds and common areas, perform cleaning and painting as needed.
  • Assist in cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
