Maine Behavioral Healthcare offers transitional residential treatment programs for individuals navigating mental health challenges. Spanning across 12 programs from York to Belfast, our environment fosters support and encourages ongoing treatment and community integration.
As a Residential Care Worker, you'll play a crucial role in helping individuals improve their functioning and quality of life. You'll guide them towards achieving their treatment goals within the residential program and the broader community, making a significant impact on their recovery journey and helping to reduce stigma. In this role, you'll maintain schedules, participate in treatment supervision meetings, and assist clients in activities to meet their treatment goals and transition smoothly to lower levels of care. You'll develop an understanding of the statewide mental health system and resources, provide personal care, organize appointments, and engage clients in treatment groups and community activities to foster growth and empowerment. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current certification as an Active Certified Residential Medication Aide and Personal Support Specialist required. Certification as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT 1) must be obtained within one year of employment. Valid Driver's License preferred.
3. Experience: Experience working in a residential setting preferred.
