Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) invites applications for a non-clinical, in-person position at WRHA Community Health Services - AFM - Womens Facility WPG. The role supports a residential facility with a client-centered approach and requires high school education, CPR-C/AED, and addictions knowledge.

The successful candidate will join an inter-disciplinary team, uphold a positive work environment, and demonstrate strong communication and cultural sensitivity.

  • Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and beliefs is an asset.

Experience
  • Suitable combination of education and experience working in a residential facility, addictions related employment experience and/or volunteer work.
  • Experience working from a client centered perspective.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.

  • Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and beliefs will be considered an asset.
Physical Requirements
  • Suitable physical health to perform required duties.
  • Availability for shift work.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, Prairie Crocus Manor, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
