Lookout Housing and Health Society in Vancouver is seeking a Building Attendant to support the Walton Residence with administrative, maintenance, and security tasks. The role reports to the Site Manager and aligns with Lookout’s mission and ethics. Respirator fit testing is required; fluency in safety protocols is expected.
The position requires First Aid Level 1 certification and the ability to work calmly in a challenging environment while maintaining client boundaries and teamwork.

Walton Residence
15 minute walk from Stadium-Chinatown Skytrain Station
7 days a week, day, afternoon/evening and overnight shifts, weekdays, weekends and holidays
Shifts are 7.5 hours in length
Days of rest shall be consecutive. Schedule may change with two weeks’ notice
Probationary/qualifying period will be 488 hours with mid and end point reviews
$28.56 - 30.45 depending upon applicants' length of seniority (as per the Collective Agreement)
The Building Attendant (BA) reports to the Site Manager and works in accordance with the mission and philosophy of Lookout Housing and Health Society, including following Lookout’s Code of Ethics. Building Attendants perform a variety of administrative, maintenance, and security functions within the residence managed by Lookout.
This position requires successful completion of respirator fit testing, as Lookout is COR (Certificate of Recognition) certified and must comply with WorkSafeBC health and safety requirements. To ensure a proper respirator seal during fit testing and use, employees are required to be clean-shaven where the respirator seals against the face.
