Job summary

Linwood Homes Ltd. in Vancouver is seeking a Technical BIM Designer to lead the home design model and deliverables across all phases.

You will maintain model accuracy, coordinate with design, drafting, and production teams, and ensure outputs meet Linwood standards and client requirements. Responsibilities include producing coordinated BIM models, site studies, concept visuals, permit-ready drawings, and IFC packages, while incorporating customer customizations and managing revisions through

Qualifications

• Design or Architectural Technology degree or related technical field.
• Advanced BIM authoring proficiency with cloud teamwork functions.
• Experience with residential design and drafting.
• Knowledge of BC, Ontario, Alberta, and US building codes.

Responsibilities

• Author and progress the single coordinated BIM model for residential homes.
• Produce site study 3D model and plans showing site constraints.
• Develop concept BIM model and visuals: floor plans, sections, elevations, renderings.
• Finalize permit-ready models and drawings for permit documents.
• Prepare permit applications across Canadian and US jurisdictions.
• Assemble IFC drawing and specification package and export BIMx model.
• Incorporate customer customizations into Linwood base model and manage revisions.
