Native Counselling Services of Alberta is seeking a Primary Worker for full-time evenings and overnights in Red Deer, Alberta. You will support residents in housing facilities, monitor safety, and serve as a positive role model while fostering healthy, holistic growth.

The ideal candidate has deep Indigenous knowledge, trauma-informed approach, strong time management, confidentiality, and good computer skills.

Qualifikationen

• Indigenous communities knowledge, healing, and language.
• Understanding of historic trauma and colonization impacts.
• Excellent time management; prioritize work; self-motivated; initiate safety.
• Dependable and able to dress appropriately for the position.
• Good working knowledge of computers and information technology.
• Able to work in a team with strong written and verbal communication; maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Strong interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, leadership and time management.
• Experience with multi-barrier individuals is an asset.
• Up-to-date criminal record check, child intervention check and driver's abstract.

Aufgaben

• Monitor and observe safety functions to protect residents and the community while providing ongoing supports.
• Support individuals in their self-growth in a safe, healthy environment.
• Work the 12:00 am - 8:00 am shift, Sunday to Thursday (Full-Time Evenings), or
• Work the 4:00 pm - 12:00 am shift, Monday to Friday (Full-Time Overnights).
