Job summary

Extendicare is hiring a Part-time Resident Programs Aide to support therapeutic activities and resident engagement in our long-term care community. You will assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and document resident participation.

You will liaise with schools, service clubs, families and volunteers to facilitate interaction and coordinate general resident care. You will carry out training and duties in compliance with safety rules and company policy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate physical therapeutic programs for residents.
• Document resident participation in activities and track progress.
• Follow prescribed physical therapy for residents as outlined in care plans.
• Coordinate and participate in general resident care.
• Liaise with stakeholders (e.g. school, service clubs) to support programs.
• Facilitate resident, family and volunteer interaction during activities.
• Obtain feedback from customers and implement improvement strategies.
• Carry out all training and duties in compliance with OH&S and company policies.
• Respect and preserve privacy and security of residents' and workers' information.
