Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a Resident Programs Aide to support activity-based programs in our long-term care setting. You will plan, implement and evaluate physical therapeutic activities, document resident participation and follow prescribed care plans to promote well-being.

You will coordinate with residents, families and staff, liaise with external partners, and help ensure respectful, privacy-conscious care. This role is part-time and integral to a compassionate, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to plan, implement and evaluate activity programs.
• Good communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• The Resident Programs Aide is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating physical therapeutic programs.
• Document resident participation in activities and follow prescribed physical therapy in care plans.
• Coordinate and participate in general resident care and liaise with stakeholders.
