Job summary

Extendicare (Canada) is seeking a dedicated Recreation Services leader to drive resident and family satisfaction by planning and delivering engaging programs in our long-term care homes. You will supervise recreation staff and volunteers, develop activity calendars, and ensure budgetary controls support high-quality resident experiences.

In this full-time role, you will collaborate with care teams to maximize participation, align with regulatory requirements, and promote community engagement

Qualifications

• Experience in leading and motivating teams in a recreation program
• Knowledge of resident-centered programming in long-term care
• Ability to manage budgets and monitor expenditures

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and motivate recreation staff and volunteers to meet department goals and regulatory requirements
• Develop, plan, organize and implement resident programs to improve resident experience
• Maintain and monitor the recreation department budget and expenditures
• Collaborate to ensure resident participation in events and activities each month
• Support community engagement opportunities through volunteers and partners
