Rotating Schedule, Weekends + On-Call Availability required
The Resident Manager is responsible for the daily operations of assigned apartment buildings, including leasing, administrative tasks, light maintenance, cleaning, and providing excellent customer service to tenants.
Advertising and showing units to prospective tenants, answering rental inquiries, processing applications, assisting with credit references, emailing documents to Head Office for approval, and tracking all rental interactions.
Managing the apartment building operations, including rent collection, tenant follow-up, showing units, reference checks, delivering notices, and organizing tenant events.
Maintaining fire safety logbooks, updating fire safety plans, completing paperwork, reviewing rent rolls, and participating in audits.
Performing clerical tasks such as organizing receipts, quotes, purchase orders, handling emails, incident reports, and faxing.
Handling cleaning and maintenance tasks, including cleaning common areas, managing maintenance requests, performing small repairs, overseeing contractors, and outdoor seasonal cleaning like snow shoveling and landscaping.
High school diploma or minimum five (5) years of relevant experience.
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; automobile insurance may be required.
Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel, email/web).
Knowledge of regional policies, industry standards, municipal by-laws, and applicable provincial legislation (including Residential Tenancy Act, Building Codes, Fire Codes, Occupational Health and Safety Act) is an asset.
Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, push, pull, and navigate stairs.
