Job description

Toromont Cat is seeking a Resident Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment to work directly at customer sites using a Toromont Service truck. The role involves providing exceptional service and product expertise to ensure timely repairs with integrity.

Note: This position is for the Wawa and surrounding areas.

Typical Daily Responsibilities:

1. Exhibiting a strong work ethic and positive attitude to complete jobs correctly and on time.
2. Practicing safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviors consistently.
3. Diagnosing mechanical issues using Caterpillar testing equipment and technical skills.
4. Maintaining quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within established time standards in the field.
5. Building excellent communication and trusted relationships with customers through regular on-site visits.

Must-Haves:

1. Post-secondary education in a related heavy equipment mechanics field (e.g., truck, coach, diesel engine mechanics).
2. At least 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
3. 421A license (preferred).
4. Valid Driver’s License; DZ License preferred.
