Job description

Toromont Cat is looking for a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment to go directly to customer sites in a Toromont Service truck and provide superior service and product expertise to maintain high standards that ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner with the utmost integrity.

In a typical day, YOU will:

1. Possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude to get the job done right and on time.
2. Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Culture.
3. Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment and leverage top-tier technical skills.
4. Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within established time standards out in the field.
5. Maintain excellent communication and trusted customer relationships through regular onsite visits.

Must-haves for this role:

1. A valid 421A Heavy Equipment Technician License in accordance with Provincial standards.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in repair and service of heavy equipment both in the shop and in the field.
3. Familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS would be beneficial).
4. A valid Driver’s License (DZ License preferred).
