Job summary

AgeCare in British Columbia is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal setup, service and cleanup in the Residence/Home, ensuring meals are served with professionalism and respect for residents. You will assist with setting tables, delivering trays, cleaning service areas, and supporting catering for special events, while adhering to health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate.
• Experience in food service and seniors is preferred.
• Must be enrolled in or possess Food Service Worker Training.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in setup and preparation for service of items like beverages, salads, desserts.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and maintaining dining area cleanliness.
• Support catering and participate in special events and theme occasions.
• Assist in orientation and training of new dietary employees.
• Follow health and safety legislation and department procedures.
• Comply with provincial regulations and department policies.
